New Air Machine.

The journal “Aeroplane” states that a new giant British machine recently tested attained a, height of 7000 ft. carrying twenty passengers and a pilot.
Prisoners in Turkey

In the House of Commons Mr J, F, Hope stated that the Turks had prisonerad 327 British officers and 1,653 men, 13 Dominions officers and 140 men, and 195 officers and 3,573 men of the Indian Army.
Shipping Order.

An order in council has been gaaettqd enacting that in view of German submarining unless vessels bound to and from neutral countries adjicent to Germany call at British or Allied ports in order to be searched, they shall, until the contrary is established, be deemed to be carrying enemy goods, and will be liable to capture and condemnation, but ships calling at British or Allied ports for examination will not be presumed to be carrying enemy goods, and will not be condemned merely because they are cartying enemy goods.

Turkey has assured- the American Ambassador of her willingness to waive all restrictions regarding tha departure of a thousand Americans from Beirut, and to guarantee American relief ships against interference from Turkish submarines.
Government is enquiring what measure of seourity will be afforded by Austrian and German submarines.
