Messrs Webb and McCombs A final reminder is given the public of tbe political addresses which are to be delivered in the Opera House tonight by those two able platform speakers, Messrs Webb and McUombs. The subject of their addresses, “The Cost of Living,” is a question of paramount importance to the public of Hokitika and the valuable opportunity of hearing the views of such prominent men as to-night’s speakers should bd availed of by every intelligent person jn this town. Mr McCombs, in addition to being an able and forcible speaker, is the foremost stndent of the absorbing question that there is in New Zealand to-day, Mr Webb has just completed a tour of South Westland and everywhere be spoke he was accorded magnificent receptions. Mr McCombs has jagfc returned from Westport acd while there ho addressed an overflowing meeting, many being unable to gain entry. The chair will be taken punctually at 8 p.m. by Mr F. W. Turley.

A special invitation is accorded questioners to either take the platform or ask the questions from the body of the hall at the conclusion of the addresses.

A silver coin collection will be taken at the doors to defray the expenses which will be incurred.
