THE BIRTH OF A NATION.
This great picture will be presented by J. C. Wihiamaon Ltd., at the Princess Theatre on Monday njght next. In “ The Birth of a Nation ” the audience is taken through a wonderful series of historical happenings, which ere interwoven with a beautiful love story, and during a period of two and three-quarter hours every human emotion is stirred, while the wonderful nature of the battle scenes and the grandeur of the scenery is without a parallel in tbs history of the moving picture world. Strictly speaking, the play begins at the period when thirteen States of America' were feeling with jealous alarm the slow but resistless growth of a new national spirit within the body of the Federal UnioD. The producer has achieved a notable success, emphasised in every foot of the speaking film. No “Titles” are necessary to carry the theme uninterruptedly through, for more remarkable than anything elße is' the continuity of the simple bnt telling story which moves rapidly over the screen. To say that the subject has been artistically photographed would be to offer but meagre praise.
