PRINCESS THEATRE MONDAY
Beri La Blanc 1 ‘ Revus Company.” The musical cotoady and “ Revue ” season of three nights to be given by the Bart La Blanc Company will commence on Monday evening next at the Princess Theatre with the production of the charming two act musical romedy, “ The gay Mrs Cohen ” “ In old Seville. The scene of this clever quick going comedy is laid iu Spain, and tells the story of “ Ike Ocher. ” before and after marriage. Mr Beet Le Blanc as ‘‘ Ike Cohen ” and Mr Jake Mack as “ Morris Levi,” two Yiddish comedians carry th 9 fun in a fast and furious manner whenever they appear on the stage. It is safe to state that no better delineators cf Yiddish character work have appeared on the Coast, The company ia very strong in principals, chorus and ballet and added to those necessary requisite for the paper production of musical Revue aud comedy, the Company are fortunately rich in specialty work by Marcel and and the artistic musical “New York Four” whose beautifully harmonised quartettes are oae of the chief attractions of the evening. A big feature in Be’t Le Blanc’s musical comedies is the ballet.
The dancing of this clever and talented set of dancers is of highest artistic order, and the apparent delight wth which they revel in different dances incidental to an ght’a performance put them quickly in touch with the audience. The girls are all Australians, who have graduated in musical comedy aud pantomime, and the great experience gained in these big productions has put finishing touches on their work. Special mention may bo marie of the Pyjama Ballot, Railroad Ballet, Charlie Chaplin Ballet, Pierrot Ballet, etc. The pieca selected for Tuesday (jubilee) evening will be the clever two act musical play “ Fazzy Wuzzy.’’ This charmiug musical comedy abounds in good bright music, clever dialogae and beautiful mounting and dressing. “Marcel aud Fallon aud “ The New York Four ” will be beard in new specialities. Oa Wednesday evening the final performance will be given when the much boomed “Mr Watts ” ia the chosen musical “Revue.’’ Reserved seats for dress circle and front stalls may be booked for the season at Mrs Browne’s.
