AN EPILEPTIC FIT.
Auckland, Jan 4 An extraordinary incident occurred iu the Grey Lynn district eariy this morning. A car from Grey Lyon was passing Selwjn Road when thsf motor man and conductor noticed that a dark torm, which they bad observed on the outward trip was still lying on the footpath, The tram was brought to a standstill and the two officials- proceeded to inves igate. They found the form which had attracted their attention woe that of a girl about twenty-years of age. She was in a seaii-conemous condition having evidently been quite recently seized with an epileptic fit. The tramway men lifted the girl into the car and conveyed her to tbe New town police station. . The officer in charge questioned the girl, but Bhe could only.give very meagre information about' hersoif, being still only half sensible. She s’atsd that her name was Violet Cole and that she had only come | to Auckland three days ago from her *bo na ia the Gteboroe district. She said eke had beim staying in Auckland with her uncle, whose name-she said wsb Henry Cole. .As to tho latter s uddrßßß her mind wf s, h .wsver, a blank. A strung} part of the affa r is that neither tbe police nor the hospital authorities have, so fir, reo ivid inquiries regarding the patient.
