GIFT EVENING.

A very pleasant gift evening was held in t&e Oddifellows'. Hall, on Saturday, 22nd inst, the evening being given (by Mr. and Mrs Copping in honour of the approaeMng marriage of Miss Irene Gregory. Games, competitions and dancing were indulged' in and 'everyone joined in to make the evening a greaf eueeess. Mr. Mann -was at the piano.

After supper Miss Gregory opened up tho parcels, which contained many useful articles fox the modern home, and Mr. Cojopinig, on her behalf, thanked those present for their beautiful gifts.

Winners of the competitions duidng <the evening were Misses Davis and Co'rken and Messrs C. Smith, and Purvis- -j —' • Prior to the singing •of Auld Lang Syne^Mr. Jasniieson, on behalf of Miss Gregory and Mr. J. Rodger (who was liiiavoidiaibly absent) thanked Mr, and Mrs. Copipinig for their hospitality.
