LEAGUE OF MOTHERS.

The Lmveir Hutt Branch of the League of Mothers held a wonderfully good ! lueetiiyg on Thursday last, forming a 'worthy conclusion for the year. Mrs. H. W. KeTsley, who has just returned from a trip abroad, spoke upon the doings of women in other countries. Mrs. KeTsley mentioned her visit to the battlefield aad the sacred care takenoosf s soidders' graves. A very -hearty vote of. thanks was passed to Mrs. Kersley fox her' most interesting address, and Mrs. W. A. Jensen- presented her with a dainty ■basket of flowers. :. '

Musical and elocutionary items were 1 contributed by Mesdames Andrews and Lowe and Miss Spite.

' . Peeling reference was paid to the passing af Mrs. W. T. Strand, a very valued memtber of the League Committee since its inception,, the memlbers standing in silence as a motion of condolence was passed.

Tlhe little ones of the Creche were then entertained at a Cnristmas party. A large ealce with its four candles for the fdurtih. birthday of ttae League formed the gifits of the President. NuTsery rhymes were sung and the meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem and Auld Lang Syne.
