•When makineg soap, add a packet of Lux and the soap will lather well in cold water. A squeeze of lemon-juice improve* scxa-mbled eggs. - It should be added to the dish -when cooking. Arrowroot starch is excellent and economical. Mix 2 tablespoons with cold water ,usinig more water than usual. Poor on boiling water quickly from a saucepan, stirring the while. A kettle gives too slow a flow, as lumps would form. A tablespoon of butter can be added to give gloss. :^-...^^ ; .;^; ■ -
