HUTT VALLEY HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

A meeting of the General Committee was held in the Council Chamber on Wednesday 9th. August 1930. Mt. D. S. Patrick, President in the chair and there was a good attendance.

Correspondence was received from His^ Excellency the Governor General and Lady Bledisloe accepting the position of Patron and Patroness of the Society, several Vice-Presidents accepting positions. .

Hastings Horticultural Society for information re Garden Competition, Petono Horticultural Society applying for affiliation, which was accepted, also a letter from Mrs. H.W. Kersley, iVSice-President from Venice, giving notes of interest- of her tour through Nice, Genoa, Rome, Florence, Milan, Como Lake Maggiore Lucerne, Paris, Brussels, Brughes and Ostend:

Floral Display. A report was" retceived from.the Delegates. It was decided that the National Schedule toei adhered to and that the Society ?s liability be limited to £10. "~

Tlwentytwo new Members were duly Delected. The Secretary reported that Members tickets and Schedule would be posted about the 14th. August. Vote of thanks wasaccorded Messrs Hurrell and Bryant for repairs to plant etc.
