A meeting of tie Lower Hutt branch of the Women's Christian Temperance Union was held on Wednesday, August s^h at Trinity Church. In spite of the very inclement weather, there was a good attendance. A most interesting address on "Temperance" was delivered iby Mrs. S. H. D. Peryman. A visitor was Mrs McLay, dominion organiser for the Union.
