THE "HYMN OF PRAISE."
j Next Sunday evening Mendelssohn's .'' Hymn of Praise will be sung in the Methodist Ghurch, Lower Hutt, by the Church Choir. This is to mark the commencement of Music Week, the arrangements for which include special referenes in the Churches and, in some, eases, a special musical service. The work to be sung by the Hutt Methodist Choir is.very fitting for sivch. an occasion, and will typify the place of music in-the religious life of the community. The choruses are noble in- conception, and; tne solo parts very - expressive. The soloists will be Mrs, W.~&. Schmidt, Miss Dorothy, Capes, and Mr. W. E. Saunders. Mr. C. R. Horanan will preside at the organ and the conductor will be Mr. Ernest Dawson. A short * ! service,' commencing- at' 7 o'clock; will ; precede the presentation of the cantata.; JTo one should miss this opportunity of -hearing one. of. the. noblest compositions iof the . immortal Mendelssohn.' ;."-■
