Batehelor who moved into inside right, secured the next two goals .with good shots" Criticism of the players in this game would be out' of the question, Chapman and McDougall being the only two players who did play up to anything like their regular form. Forbes^ the visiting goalie was in good form, .making his saves appear easy, yet this was due to his anticipation of. the play and placing himself just where he thought the ball w:ould land. He is certainly one of the toest goalkeepers in this division. - The local ith. gTade team defeated the Diamonds by the odd goal in 5. j Diamonds scored in the first few mm- ' utes w;hen the local boys were playing j with ten men and maintained their lead I until the last few minutes whea the i home team, rattled in 2 goals in the ' last three minutes.
