A close game was expected but t Gillbertsott played sparkling golf and in spite of a few' mistakes, did the mornr • ing round in 78. 2 and 1, n. Rodger, beat G. London, D. N". Isaacs beat S. L. Rodger by default, Harvey beat Le Souef 7 and 5, Collie beat Garbett 2 up, Wilson beat Tingey, Lockhead beat K. London, Ferris beat Jones. .
