HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL IMPROVEMENTS.
Through the representations of^t'he Belmont Progressive Association in conjunction with Cr. W. V. Dyer, the Government has started on the very important work of widening the main Western Hutt road from the southern boundary of the Hutt County northwards. The work is estimated to cost £1500 and will cany a Government suibsidy of £1 for every £3 expended. A further £100 will also be spent on the same conditions by taking off bad corners on Park Road. These matters have been subjects of agitation for some time and will tend to make the districts niiuchmoTe attractive and accessible.
