A CONCERT.

|-. A most enjoyable.concert was iheld in the Catholic School-room on Mondaynight. Miss Eva Putter opened the evening's entertainment with a pianoforte solo "The Nun's Prayer" (Hiscocic), and had to respond to an en- ! core. Miss Jones sang very pleasing^y./Her enunciation is good and , also her voice—particularly in the, higher register. Miss Oonnoliy was next on the programme in "The Exile's Be- | turn" (Neediham). • She was loudly ap- ! plauded and responded with "the plaintive "Danny Boy." Miss Morrison ! then pleased her'audience with a violin | solo "Serenata,"-for which she was recalled.. Miss Morrison is a young player of decided promise. A song ! from Mrs. O'Shea concluded the first half of Jhe programme. Mrs O'Skea has a voice of eha-rniing timibre and sings most, pleasingly/ Her number was "Fisher Lad" and she responded with the dainty "April Showers" (LQuis :Silvers). Miss Anderson began the second Sralf of the programme witOi '' Not Understood (Albert H. Houghton), her recall number "Mighty Like A Rose" (Nevin). Miss Connolly then sang "One Meeting Hour" (Lee), her encode nwmiber bieing 'rThat's.. All (May Bralie). Mr. Stapp was next in "At Da-wning" (Cadiman)j encore "number being "All the Fun of Tihe Pair" (Easthope Martin). Miss Morrison then gave another violin solo "Souvenir" (Franz Drdlaj^ recall. "Intermezzo" (Maseagni). Mrs O'Shea's number was "Shavna in Ban" (F. J. Cogley), her recall "A Bowl of Boses" (Connigsby Clarke). The accompanists for the concert were Misses Connolly, L.A.8., Adams," L.A.8., and Mr. Merrail. Miss Bartosh's pupils also assisted. The cone'ert concluded with supper.
