One wbnuan was i heard. to emphatically affirm that ours is a naturally gloomy race and that wear« ;liappier when gloomy (a bit of an anomaly!) and that if any person not accustomed to so doing greeted her witfc an ufpwaxd infected "Good Morning," shod smite them! Another lady's opinion was that forced smiles were tmost irritating to meet in the morning. ; (And when is a morning smile not a •forced onel) However, one particularly cheerful, and tiherefore popular, person, probably summed up the feeling of t»he majority when she stated "Well, I think it's a lovely idea and I knoiw that I would always far ratheT meet a cheery person than a gloomy one, so let's all join!" ,
