A very pretty evening wedding was solemnised at the Methodist Church on June 3rd, when* Violet May, daughter Off Mr and Mrs H. C. Bariber, was married to Leonard, son of ' the ■; date Mr and Mrs Moran of Tasmania. The Ixride entered the church on the arm of Mr. J. Smith, of Kaiwarra, an old friend of the family, while Mr. Horace A. Barfoer, brother of the bride, was 4>est man. The bride's charming frock was of wMte celunese crepe- de-ehene with flared radium lace panels and long ilaee sdeeves, the long veil which was ■emibrpiideTed at', the. corners, with horse- : shoes, was arranged in mob-cap style with a coi'onet of oTange-iblbsspms and silver leaves while her bouquet,was of ■white chiysanthemums, white abutil- . oiiS, carnations, maiden-hair fern and asparagus fern. The Rev. H. Sharpe performed the eetemony, while Mr. Swift was at the; organ. Miss Joyce Smith, a friend of -the bride, attended as maid, wearing a frock of pale blue mai'iette- with pieoted georgette frills, and her bouquet was of lemon abu.tilous and chrysanthemums^ . with autumn leaves and berries and maiden-hair fern. There were- two small flower-girls —4ittle Elva Barber, #he bride's sister, and a small niece Joan Barber, each of whom wore frocks of apricot erepe-de-chine with Dutch caps to tone.. Each carried a gold basket of autumn-shaded everlasting flowers, with apricot tulle :and pale blue ribbon. Mrs Barber's posy was of autumn leaves and -berries. The artistic bouquets were the handiwork of Mrs. Stahnard Knight. After the ceremony a reception, ,at which there were about forty giiests,.'; was •held in the Methodist;school-room -wrherc Mrs Barber received her guests wearing, a frock of navy crepe^de^chene with fawn collar and aayy blue felt hat. Tho bridesmaid received a • crystal necklet from the bridegroom,, whidft to the flo.wer-girls ie gave^ gold.armlets. After the reception^ Mr.-;and Mrs. Moran left for Wanganui (t-heir future home), the bride wearing a juimpeT-suit of princess blue . chenille with: hat to tone and a fox fux^ the gift of -the bridegroom.
