OBITUARY.
MRS. DARSFELL
Mrs-. Darnell}, wife of Mr. F. C. Darnell, of Trent Street, who died at the "Wellington Hospital on 28th inst after a seTious operation, leaves a wide circle of friends to mourn her loss. The late Mrs Darnell possessed one of the happiest of dispositions and was an indefatigable worker in the interests of St. Jameses . Church. She is servived by lieT husband and two sons.
The funeral service in St. James's Church and at Taita cemetery, was conducted by Yen. Archdeacon Hansell and was very largely attended.

many others will learn with deep regret of the death of Mrs. Blackburne, wife of Bey J. Bla«kburne ; of Waniganui, and late of Lower Hutt. The •deceased was very mudh beloved by every one with whom she came in contact. During her residence in this district sihe never •tdred"of" doing kindly actions for the poor, bereaved, and the sick. Visitors to *her home always found her busily. engaged in making some garment for the needy. "She- took very great interest in the A.nglican Boys' Home where^she to the'wants of the young people.
