The .regular meeting of the Hutt Valley High School Board of Governors was held on Thursday evening, 29th May. There were present Messrs J. Stonehouse, J, Bums,' P. Tiho Board approved of the Principal '5... action in securing two type■Trrifters on advantageous! terms for the use of the school.
, It-was reported that the motor mower •had arrived and the Principal was aur thorised to take delivery.
The principal reported that the rifle range which had been built by the boys was completed and - asked the Board to consider the question of taking out an insurance policy to indemnify the board a<gadn.sit accident to the general public using the stop bank. It was decided to take out a policy.
The secretary was instructed to make application to the Pctone Borough Council for a grant to the sdool funds.
The Prncipal reported that the new 'wing had been campleted by t»he contractors and asked; for authority to take it over. Authority was granted The Board expressed its appreciation and satisfaction with the Education Department for its help
