A KITCHEN TEA.

Miss Ponkin, ..whose marriage takes platio shortly, -was the" guest of honour recently at a kitchen tea. The party took place at the Oddfellows' Hall and aibout a hundred ladies and gentlemen spent a most jolly evening. After supper, t>he guest of the evening opened her parcels, which wre found to contain almost very known utensil for the kitchen. Her father then, thanked the donors for their gifts, and for the very •happy evening they had all spent. Recitations by Mrs White and Mrs Pointer, greatly contributed to the entertainment of the evening, as also did games and dancing.
