HUTT RIVER BOARD.
The regular meeting of the Hutt lUmcst Board was held on Tuesday evening. There were '-present Mr. F. S. Hewer (chairman), and Messrs J. Mitchell, C, Gostelow, Gv*A. Chapman, Tie engineer, Mr. H. gladden, was also in attendance.
Thje Wellington Free Ambulance wrote asking for- a donation from the Board. On (the imotion of Mr. Chapman, a donation of 3 guineas was agreed to.
Phuis for subdivision of certain lands in the Taita district were submitted
for the Board's approval
The plans
were agreed to subject to slight alterations regarding s-hingle rights.
A Leftter was received from the Hutt River and Sand Co. Ltd,, agreeing to limit their working hours to meet .the requirements of the Board.
Tlie .x>rough engineer wrote informing the Board that an obstruction had lucent oinoved from Arwamutu... street •culvert by the borough stafl!.
The secretary of the Waiwetii ,Pro-; gressive Association wrote drawing the Board's attention to obstructions in Awa-mutu Stream. It was decided to inform thie Association that the .w.ork was receiving attention. .
An application from a tenant for cancellation of lease was held over to receive a report at next meeting from l&x. Chapman. ' --..
