HUTT VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL.
T-]ie regular meeting of the Hutt Valley High School Board of Governors, wasNheld last Thursday evening. There wore present Mr. H. G. TeagJe (chairman), Mr. D. A. Ewen and Captain Qlphert. .
The! chairman made feeling ref^ren-ee to the death of the late chairman of the Board, Mr., E. P.' Bishwotth, and said that his name would ever be remembered in the school, as it was largely owing to his efforts that the school had. been; so Isucciegsful. He was one of

• Permission was granted, to purchase sufficient timljer to make a" cabinet to hold the ■ school's trophies. The work would be done by the boys at "tie wood
work classes;
It was agred tha^t membeTS of the Board would make an official inspection of the' school at an early date. :
The Principal reported that a cheque for £70 had been received from the Hutt Valley HigvhSehopl Parents' Association • for school improvements. Members expressed their .gratitude' for thej cheque "and for the continued interest taken by the* Association in the work of the school. It was decided to .coriyp.y the thanks of the Board by letter. . ' The question of lighting the gymnasium was left with..the principal to arrange. _ . T^te Chairman, Mr- Teagle, who is ebout to leave* on a visit to the Old Country was granted leave of absenqs.
Tiie statement of accounts fox the inoiith of April showed a credit balance at the Bank of £502/5/9.
