ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
Themanagonient committee of , the Wellington Football Association met recently. There were present: Messrs W. B. Hicks (chairman), H. Spolsky, E. G. Weir, I>. Mellor, H. -Power, '-N. feryan, J. M... Coleman^ P. Mackie, W. Frascr and the secretary (Mr B. A.' Mlabin).
The chairman reported tliat he had met the chairman of the New Zealand Council (MtF. Campbell) on the subject of football in schools, and he had agreed to the suggestion that a deputation should wait upon the three educational bodies at their conferences in May for the purpose of stating their case if the conferences would receive them. It was suggested that the chairman of the two associations and the secretaries should form the delegation.
The chairman's action was approved.
The Broadcasting Company wrote thanking the committee for the offer to allow the broadcasting of matches. The offer was wa,rmly appreciated, and the company would be glad to receive advice Of fixtures of outstanding interest.
It was decided to promote one team from the third to. the second division, making six teams in each division. Technical Old Boys were promoted to the second division, to take the place of South Wellington.
