Messrs W. N". Dempsey and P. Feist, J.P's, presided at tie sitting of the Lower fiuft Count held on Tuesday. JPor riding a motor-cycle on the Main Road at an excessive speed, A. Whito* man was fined 10/- and 10/- costs. For a similar offence D. Byrne was fined £1 and 10/- costs.
D. Byrne was fined 10/- and 10/----oosts for riding a motor-cycle without a sufficient exhaust silencer. #
For riding their bieyeles on the bitumen road track, H. Easoh, F. Gorwer, George Hall, K. .Spencer, A. Mclndoe, "W. Trigger, C*N. Owen, S. Cooley, B. Earner, Charles •Bra<ly, O. CrO9S, T. Or. Cook, S. Willis, D,. Linton were eaell eonvieted and' fined .10/- and 10/- costs, and William Wilson- F, Jenkins, B. Ityje, F. Hastings and E. C. Tegg were each convicted and fined. 5/- and 10/-
coste. A. Matenga was convicted and orderetl to pay costs 10/-.
C. O'Connell and I. Jenness were eadbt fined 5/- and 10/- costs for riding their bieyeles on the footpath on. Camp Boad.
For exceeding the^ speed limit P. Borfchwick was convicted arid fined £2 and costs; Allen Gr. Barr Bro^vn aacE W. G. Aloxander 30/- and 10/- costs; W. SoinerviUe; J. G. Donald, A. K. Thomas (2 charges), A. Biehmonxl, Or. W. Cairns, R. C. Kebbell, H- M. Cooi, R. E. Savage, A. V. Shorter) were each, convicted and fined £.1 and 10/- co3ts.
■ J. Edmpnds was (ionvieted and fined £1 and 10/- costs for driving a motor car at a greater speed tibtaii 10 miles per hour when turning the corner of Cornwall;! and Heke streets.
For riding their bicycles at night without lights, A. ..Hackett, and A. S. | Staples were eacfy f-riitkl 20/- and 10/----■eosts.
