There is a-woman, in our town Wiho seldom wears a stylisih gown; Sic isn't great at holding meeting^, , But, oh! she's fine at friendly greet-
ings;
She.meets1 'her.neighbours.with a smile, . And always goes the second mile! -•• ■ \ . . ■ ■ • .' ■ ■ '
W»hat do I mean? Why this, if you Should ask her for a flower or two, She'll pluck for you her ehoieest trea-
sure,
And say it only, gives her pleasure to cut that Canterbury bell,
And would you like a rose as well?
And then s-he's never known to shirk. Her share at teas and sales of wt>rk; She washes plates, and brews the tea, And is as sweet as she can be. She doesq't get in any huff If stylish Mrs Powder Pivff Say, "Mrs Robinson? Dear me!" What a good help site seems to be. But, then (slight cough behind her cup) "Of course, she's used to washing-
up!"
Sht never feels '' imposed^ upon,'
This kindly Mrs Robison, SJic says it gives her joy to find
That everybody is so kind. No wonder she thinks life worth while
