Soccer football will start in earnest on Saturday next, when the first round of the senior championship will take $I*o6. . ; ■ . . . . . ; MARIST y. PETONE Marist and Petone will try conclusions at the Basin Reserve (Wellington) No. 1, and a really fine exhibition of the code will be witnessed. The Petone eleven will be a strong combination, with practktallj the whole of last season's players available. Marist intend placing in the field a few promoted junior backs, of whom good results are expected. The for* ward division will probably be the same as last year. SEATOUN v. WATERSIDES© Beatonn. will face* Watersiders on No. 2 Basin Reserve (Wellington) : These two young teams are likely to show brilliant football. INSTiTUTE v. V.M.C.A. Hutt Valley followers of the code will have the opportunity of seeing Institute and V.M.C.A. in action at the Petone Recreation Ground. A fast and spectacular exhibition should be provided. DIAMONDS v. HOSPITAL Diamonds will find Hospital a hard team to dispose of. The game will be decided at the Hospital Ground.
