EASTER GALA.

Those in search, for on Easter Monday cannot do better than visit the Recreation Ground, Woburn Road, and assist the Lower Hutt -Municipal Band with.1 the gala which has t>een arranged to provide funds for the purchase of new tm jf orms for the Taandsmen. It is hoped that good numbers will put in ah appearance and assist this worthy object. The-bandsmen are, at all times, unstinting in their services and readily supply music when called uppii^to attend any public function-in the borough and in this1 -;way they have always done -their full shafe^in assisting any charitable op- other worthy abject in the district. The uniforms '■ wliicinthey are now wearing, were. purciiasfid second hand many years ago, and do not look as atiractives-as many of us would like to • see. It is to be hoped that" the Easter effort,, added- to what already stands to the predit of the fund will enable our -bandsmen to appear in uniforms worthy' of a Municipal Baud.; ■:.. '
There will be abundance of fun for the general public and for the children in particular^ ..there will be sports, games, and side shows and everything to make a happy day. complete arrangements have been made by ai energetic ladies' committee to provide refreshments, on the ground, both in the morning: and afternoon.. Hot water will ■■ be-. ■ supplied free to those wishing to: enjoy a picnic on the beautiful grounds.
