N.Z. ROCK GARDEN SOCIETY.

A -meeting of the executive council of the N.Z. Alpine and Rock Garden Society -was held in the Council Chambers last week, the President Mr. Hope Gibbons, presiding.

The; Director, Mr. Attwood, presented a report of the years-operations which uas considered to be quite satisfactory.

It was .decided to hold the annual meeting on 14t»h. May.

Considerable discussion took place on the question of creating more interest in the Society. It was decided that in future monthly executive meetings should be held and that a series of interesting talks on Alpine plants should be arranged and that members

and their friends should be invited to attend.

Tho Director reported that there

would- be a. good stock of" plants-and seeds available for distribution among members this

year.

It was.decided that more active steps would have to'be taken to increase the membership if the work of the Society was to continue. Those pi'esent- promised to canvas for more members..
