Howitzer) Battery returned .to Lower Hutt and. Petone on. Thursday evening last after 10 days under canvas at 'Waipukurau. The battery was under the command* of. Captain G. E. Cowie, who had with' him the following officers: Lieutenants H." G. Mux^ A. Ainslie; E. Lambburne,J:Tait, and Second-Lieuten-ant H. Babiiigton. ' - .
* The training reached, a very high state of efficiency, and the results of* the live"shell practice; reflected credit on the permanent B.N.Z.A. instructors, who took a keen interest in. all branches of
training,
Ait "At Home" .was held-Giuring the -course of the.camp, when ihe r&idents of Waipukuraii were given aa opportunity of seeing. the men engaged in various sports and competitions. The annuai lottery-dance, which was given iit the Municipal/Theatre, waa an. outr standing success, and gave J all Tanks an Opportunity to repay in some small measure the hospitality which was extended to "them on all sides.
