The Institute is very grateful to those friends who,-by giving their services so willingly- in demonstrating, lecturing, etc., during tie past twelve*" months, have contributed so much towards this
-* success.
The following officers were elected: —■ President, Mrs. Hawthorn; ; Secretary, Mrs. Gibson Young; Treasurer, Miss Buncle; Committee: Mesdames Evans, Howell, Huse and Summers.
During the afternoon three new members.were enrolled. ,
The April meeting was held on the 3rd inst at the Manor House, Haywards. A beautiful autumn afternoon in won-
I derfully beautiful surroundings, made the meeting one to be remembered. Unfortunately the demonstration arranged for had to be postponed owing to the "indisposition of the demonstrator, but a quoit competition .for prizes donated'by Mrs. Fenton and a weight guessing competition for some cake, filled in the time admirably. A dainty aC£ tei;noon tea,- served on the lawn by "Mrs. Fenton and other members gave t-lio' finishing touch to a very happy afternoon.
