RIDDIFORD BATHS.
The following report from the Bath Committee was placed before the Borough Council last week. The matter was referred to the engineer for fuTtlier investigation and report:—-.
Ghlorination and Heating of Baths: Your Conimittee has to report that Cr. Moßain introduced a deputation of nine memibers of the local Swimming Club 'a Committee who put forwaTd a request through their spokesmen, Messrs Bousfiejd and Blackistone, for the raising •of the temperature of the water in the Baths, and the installation of a ehlorinatibn plant. They tabled a tender •by a firm for the installation whie>h they were advocating and it was finally decided to advise Council that the Committee was favourably impressed by the ■deputation's representations, end to recommend that "a loan .be raised to cover the cost of the installation. It was fur--'bher decided that the tender referred to and other literature in the Town Clerk's possession, be handed to the Borough Engineer and that officer be asked to furnish a report on the vari-
ous schemes,
