FAREWELL SOCIALS.
On Thursday night the combined Young Men's ,arid Young Women's Bible Classes of the Church, of 'Christ combined to fare-well ono of their members, Mt. A. Roberts, who left for England the next day.
Mr. Garner, Mr. V. Brown (choir-1 master), and Mr. B. Wright, all spoke very eulogistically of the guest of the evening, and 'hoped that »he would-re-turn to New Zealand- Mr. Roberts im paying a visit to his mother in the Old Country. During the evening Mr. Roberts handed over £9 to Mr. Garner, this sum being the result of much Stard work on Ins part, as 'he had cultivated a piece of ground, and his contribution, represented the result. It is to go to the Youth Hall Fund. Games and music were indulged in, an enjoyaible evening terminating with, svpper.
