RUGBY NOTES.

A report'of tie local Club's annual meeting appears in this issue.- Themeeting •was the most successful iheli for many years, those present, taking; a very keen interest in the proceedings. The question of entering b. Senior B team was'raised, and the following motion was passed: "That it be a recommendation» to the management committee to enter a*- Senior B team, v if sufficient material is available." It .was' pointed out that the enterhig of a B team would probably attract a certain number of new members who, if not able to gain a place in the A team, would be satisfied to play in the B?s, but woiild noj; play Junior. Another sound argument in its favour is the fact that the club has several very promising colts who are worth a place •higher than .lunioir, but may find Senior A a little too solid for them at present. These boys must be encouraged and given an opportunity to. improve, their football. - . '.•'■■

Although the weather is a bit "summery" to be thinking of football, we would Teinind.. members that an early start will, be made1 this season, wjt-h the club competitions and the fittest teams should win the '.first series of

Mr.' D. MoKenzie -has offered to givp a lecture on "Rules of the Game." The date of the lecture/will be" announced shortly, and all members! should make a point of attending^as Mr. MeKenzie is noted, for itis .knowledge of Rhigby rules of which he -has made a special study.
