BY-LAW GASES
For riding a motor-cycle on the footpath in Penrose Street and Ludlam Crescent, G. Allott was convicted and fined £1 with costs 15/.
» For driving a motor-lorry loaded with metal without a tailboard, along Railway Avenue, on November 28, 1929, F. J. Collier was convicted andi fined £1, with costs 15/-.
For riding a bicycle on the.footpath in 1 Te Momi Road, S. Collon, was convicted and discharged.
For riding>a. bicycle on the Main Road at night without a light, W. Cunningham and J. Fish were each'convicted and fined 10/- with costs 15/-.'
For riding a bicycle in Laings Road at night without a light and also for a similar offence in '^Victoria Street, S.
Jessop was convicted and fined £1 with costs 15/ on each charge.

The new assistant 'at tine seed shop was not haying an easy time. Someone had ordered a packet of potato seeds, arid he &ad spent two hours looking for\j one, but without sivccess. At last he | wen* and asked the boss about it.
