WAIWHETU SUB-COMMITTEE.
- An enthusiastic meeting of mothers was 3ield in the Salvation Army Ball, Trafalgar Street, recently, when, Mrs J. T. McOaw (president of the Genr tral Committee of the Lower Hutt Branch of the Plunket Society), gave an address on "The aims and objects of the Plunket Society." At its con j elusion Mxs GiflingTßutcher, thanked Mrs McCaw for her most interesting address and proposed that a sub-commit-tee of the Plunket Society be formed in the Waiwhetu district. This was unanimously agreed to by those present and the following officers were elected: —President, Mrs Olphext; Secretary,* Mrs B. Ge. Girling-Butchef. Committee: Mesdames P t ; W. Ci Dement, A. P. Haigh, I). S. Patrick, G. B. Eobinson, P. G. R«id.
