CORRESPONDENCE.
(To the Editor).
I Six,—l was pleased to see that & few weeks ago you drew the attention of cyclists to tie fact that the btfough authorities intended to enforce the by- - law, insisting on .all cyclists riding on the cycle track- wherever one is provided*? I t&ought a> the time, that this was a wise precaution and. that the cyclists .would take note of it and the borough inspectors would see that the bylaw was enforced.'- Now sir, although I am a motorist lam not one who wishes to monopolise the\bitumen track to/t&e exclusion of cyclists, but for their own safety they should be warned off the centre of the road where a cycl,e track is provided. North of the V.I.C corner this trouble is particularly apparent both by night and day and unless tie cyclists are obliged to keep to the cycle track there will undoubtedly be an accident there. At night it' is practically impossible to see a cyclist who is: travelling among the faster moving motor traffic and if a motorist ventures to protest the cyclist invariably fails to realise the danger . and, probably abuses his would-be ■ protector instead of thanking him. Hoping something will be^ done to protect the cyclists.^—l ami etc., r .-
MOTORIST.
