McCARTHY_HAISELDEN
A.recent * wedding at St. James's Church* Lower Hutt, was that of Marjorie, youngest daughter of Mr and Mts T. Haiselden, and Bertram, only son of Mr and Mrs W. McCarthy, Lower Hutt. Archdeacon Hans ell officiated. The bride who entered the church with her father :wore a dainty frock of ivory mariette ;with a satin-bo wfrom waist to hem. The veil was caught at -the side* with .•orange blossoms, and formed a train * which was carried by Miss Joyce Webster, wearing ivory georgette. The bride's bouquet was of madonna lilies, white roses and maidenhair fern. Misses D. McCarthy and L. Inglis were bridesmaids, the former wearing a frock of delphinium blue georgette, and the lat- . teir pink silk net, the skirts being frilled Both bridesmaids wore smart fawn picture hats and carried bouquets to tone. Mr I. Wilby was best man and Mr E. G-oodwin was groomsman. The/church was decorated,^ a feature being .a" large flonil wedding bell over the bridal party. The reception was held at the Oddfellows' r Hall, where Mrs Haiseldcn received her | guests in a smart frock of navy blue ,satin with a blue hat, and carried a bouquet of red roses." Mrs McCarthy wore i black crepe de chine with lemon trimmings aid a lemon hat. Later Mr and Mrs McCarthy, jun., left for Wanganui.
