O'CONNELL—TAYLOR
The wedding was solemnised at tlie Baseilica Hill Street, on boxing Day, of Patricia Doreen, fourth, daughter ~of Mr and Mrs J. D. Taylor, Buller Street, aria Leo Paul, eldest son of Mr J. and the late. Mrs O'Connell, of Lower Hutt. The children of Mary (of which society the bride has.been a most devoted member|) formed a double line from the ear to the-church1 door^, through which the bride passed with her father. She was charniingiy attired in a gown of mariette and lace and wore a veil of J3rusT, sels net. Nuptial Mass followed the wedding ceremony, the Rev. ITathef Higgins officiating. Mis? Winifred Taylor> was bridesmaid, and- wore a frock of blue mariette; Miss jVEary O'Connell alsd attended, dressed^ in apricot mariette.
Both carried bouquets to match. The best man was Mr A. O 'Connell and Mr Leslie Horn was groomsman. A reception was afterwards held in "St. Francis's Hall. Mrs Taylor, mother of the bride, who welcomed her guests, wore black georgette andi lace, and carried a bouquet of red , roses. Among the numerous presents received by the bride was a beautiful silver tray and tea service from the staff, and a handsome cheque from the members of the Wellington Commercial .Travellers ' Association, on whose staff she has been for a number of years. After the wedding breakfast, the bride and bridegroom left for the Jforth by car, the. former wearing beige crepe" de chine with a hat and coat to match.
