CORRESPONDENCE.
ASSEMBLY HAIiL. Sir 3 —Most of tihe present pupils clearly remember the late Mr. Baldwin and the indomitable spirit, with.-."which, he worked for our school. Mr. Bald.win was a man displaying, ardent interest and great generosity towards the school. < During >Ms life-time ho associated so heartily with us that to him much,of out present rapid advancement may be attributed, It is appropriate then, tihat through the generosity" of hisi relatives an integral part of the school should l?e dedicated to his memory. An Assembly Hall, in addition to its utility in the routine of the school ihas allied with it all those traditions and associations that characterise a well developed school.. Indeed it may be said that more than any other part of asohool it creates a lasting impression oh the scholar. Few other schools have had an opportunity so early in their career as wefeave -had, of possessing an Assembly Hall. For, this reason it may be considered a* sign of oui'- school's vitality and. rapid progress that the reaching of ours i« in sight. We are-proud of our school and the work it is doing, but we all are aware t2xat- the Principal and staff axe labouring under a serious handicap so long as we possess no Assembly. Hall. May I, on behalf of the present pupils of the school, appeal to your readers for their support of the movement that is now afoot, for securing funds for t»le building of the hall. —I am "etc., -.;"■■ J.
