Clarence Percy Shinnex "and ■ G. F, Norton appeared before Mr T. B. McNeil S.M. in the Cower Hutt Court yesterday charged- with selling milk to John Lerwell v( Health Inspector) "which did not comply with the standard required under the Food and Drugs Act, 1908; Both. the; defendants pleaded not guilty.
-Inspector EerweU said he to'6k a sample..; of fiiilk and had it analysed. He V]id not consider the ease a bad one.
There was no.-.sighs- of the milk being adulterated. *'.
The Magistrate in* entering a conviction against defendants/said the case did not appear to be on a par with many cases where the milk had been tampered with. Each defendant would be convicted and fined £1 and 11/9 costs.
