ST. JAMES'S CLUB DANCE.
The t-hird dance of the season held by the members of St.'James's Cluib in St. James's Hall last Friday evening was a most enjoyable one. The stage looked very effective with its white background, branches of Pussy Willow out of which peeped coloured lights, the Union Jack standing out in bold relief. The Star Orchestra rendered good music and a dainty supper was provided. Mr. <x. Hill acted as M.O. The c-haperones were Mrs Tosswell, wearing a royal blue frock; Mrs Jarman, black erepe-de-chene, Mrs Tait blue georgette and lace frock, Mrs Darnell black satin; Mrs House, black and silver frock. Among the guests were Mrs Reviers, in cream lace frock, the skirt three-tiered and finished at side with spray of pink roses; Miss Winnie Wiatkins, silver and lace frock mad© with coatee effect; Miss Jean Barton, pale blue georgette, white Spanish shawl; Miss. E. Chapman, white lace frock full skirt scolloped at >hem; Miss Mara Hill, black taffetas, pink rose in corsage; Miss Valeric Denniston, pale lemon., georgette; Miss Joan Exley, cream frock, green rose on shoulder; Miss Joyce Aldous, torquoise georgette; Miss Barbara Broderick, cream frock with coatee of scarlet satin; Miss E'sme Louisson, frock of blue velvet; Miss Edna WaTfl, orange lace frock finished at -waist with diamante btrcklej 'Miss Iris Kilminster, beaded cyclamen frock; Miss Edna Savage, green spotted net; Miss Meadows, green frock, bodice of silver tissue; Miss Murrell,' white lace frock, scarlet shawl; Miss McLellen,

Miss Lila Ward, pale blue charmeuse banded end hem with wide silver lace; Miss Tressider> apricot chennille georgette; Miss T. Bagaint, white georgette, w&ite shawl. Among the gentlemen present were Messrs Mirams, Darnell, Aldous, Tait, Stoupe, Adams, Denniston, Leighton, Jarman, Bews (2), Tosswell, Clendon and many others.
