MANCHESTER UNITY ODDFELLOWS.

EARTHQUAKE FUND DANCE

The dance given by the Loyal Rose of the Valley Lodge on Thursday last in King George' Hall was a pTonduneed success, the thall being well crowded with dancers. The Mayor (Sir. Alex. Roberts), was in attendance; also the Cfrand Secretary, of the Order, Bro: Shrimptbn; Grand Master of the District, Brb. Bell; and Deputy Grand MasteT ,Bro. R. Cowper and many other visiting Oddfellows. -

Grand Master Bell introduced the Grand Secretary, who in a neat speech welcomed the Mayor and thanked present for their attendance, and mentioned that the Manchester Unity was

always out to help the distressed.

The Mayor thanked the Lodge for the fine ,effort to help "the Fund and remarked that the Manchester Unity was.

After the Mayor's remarks a collection was taken, bringing the total for the Earthquake Fund to, £9/10/-. .;

The committee desires to thank all those who helped" in any way to make this dance the success it was. !'
