EARTHQUAKE RELIEF FUND

I desire to give the residents of Lower Hutt an opportunity to eontribwte to the Earthquake Relief Fund, and for this purpose I have arranged with the "Hutt News" to be associated with m© in a joint local fund and thus avoid overlapping. I realize that many of out residents have already and will be contributing through their business organisations in Wellington, but to those w&ose interests are confined to the Lower Hutt borough, I appeal to support our fund which is urgently required for relief of those, who have suffered through the appalling disaster in the West Coast districts.

Contributions will be received at the Borough Council Offices and the office of tare "Hutt News," Feist's Buildings. ■ •--...

ALEX. F. EOBEETS,

Mayor.
