SOCIAL.

One of a series of social afternoons was held at the residence of Mr. H. E. Lines, Myrtle Street, last Tuesday. The winners of the card competitions were Mrs Davies and Mrs. Leighton. The songs of Mesdames Mcßain, Leighton and Miss Brooks were much appreciated, as also were the elocutionary items of Mrs. T. Norris.
