Goodall sent the field away at 2.45 p.m. and when Graeefield road had been reached the order was McCarthy,, Matson and Bayne, with Dudley' some yards back. With the first j-ound covered Matspn and Bayne were together , then followed some 30 yards back, Dudley, Cutbush and; McCarthy.; The:'latter- dropped out at.this. Stage, owing to an_ia,ttack of stitch. Then with a :"bresk- of ;300.; yards came Price, Johnson, ,Patterson,::Gardiner and punnefrb.
