"WiOLVES OP THE OITY" y A stoxy that is replete with thrills I and action from start to finish provides I the theme fox Universal's gripping' ■ melodrama, ' Wolves of the City,' star- * ring .Bill Cody and Duane Thompson, 'whyfjb • will •be screened at the King i GtWrge Theatre on Saturday. It introduces for the first time in -i Universal productions a star whosewdrk in the; picture is reminiscent of the early productions of Douglas Fairbanks and later of Richard Talmadge. BiU Cody, the. star of the picture, although he possesses remarkable physique and muscular development that enables him to do the falls and make the outstanding leaps that he does in this picture, literally carries his life in his hands in every reel of the attraction. It is.only by his high" jumping, tumbling, jujitzu methods that he couldv feasibly handle with success the crowd of men that are pitched against him through the picture. When odds are against him he does not hesitate to make desperate leaps, any length or any depth, but generally manages to land on his feet. All in all, his* remarkable activities throughout the entire picture provides tense and dripping entertainment. Cody is ""ably supported by Duane Thompson, while others in the cast include (Monte Montague, Tom London, B^Jtiek Raymond and Grace Cunard. Leigh Jason' directed a thoroughly entertaining picture. ■ y. ■ "THE SIREN" From the' moment Glenna Marsh raps on the door of the isolated hunting cabin in- the woods to seek shelter from the .storm until she is released from the scaffold iii the prison yard there is not a dull moment in '' The Siren, " the Co^ lunibia Master Eicture, showing on Saturday.
