LOWER HUTT COURT
Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M. presided at the monthly sitting of the Magistrate's Court held last "Wednesday.
Robert James Donnelly Gillie, for driving a motor lorry in "White's Line in a dangerous manner was convicted.
William David Hood, on two charges of breaches of his prohibition order was convicted and fined £1 and costs.
Ernest Vuglar, Leonard CouChman, David Hood and Rupert Foote were each fined for being on licensed premises after hours. ■ Stuart McMillan for failing to comply with the conditions of his release on probation in that he did not make restitution of certain monies was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within six months. John Partridge for riding a bicycle without lights was fined 10/- and costs. Bernard Malcolm McKeown for failing to have a license when in possession of a wireless receiving set was convicted and fined £2 and costs. >
Vincent Hayes was convicted and fined 10/- costs for riding a bicycle on the Hutt Bridge without a light.
Joseph Fletcher (Building Inspector for the Borough of Lower Hutt) proceeded against Ernest Tempest for commencing the erection of a dwelling before obtaining a building permit. He was convicted and fined £1 and costs.
On a similar charge H. Futter was convicted and fined £2 and costs; A. McDuff was ordered to pay costs only.
Charles Joseph Loughman for driving a motor ear in Bellevue Road without lights was convicted and fined 10/----and costs.
