At this time of the year when the gardens in the Valley are a mass of kaleidoscopic blooms, miscrants also appear and indulge in the contemptible practice of stealing flowers. Several complaints have been madel and one gardener at the Taita states that his tulip bed was raided. When the miscreants, not satisfied with the blooms, dug up the bulbs and carried them off. We would advise those responsible to discontinue this despicable practice for if caught they will be made an • example of. The usual weekly euchre party was held last Tuesday when Miss Hunter was successful in securing the ladies prize, and Mr. Alf Searle, the gent's prize. These euchre parties are proving most popular and large attendances are being maintained.
A function which is looked forward to hj lovers of the terpischorean art, is the Taita Football Club's, annual ball which "Will be held on Labour Day. An energetic committee is in charge of the arrangements and no stone will be left unturned to make this dance one of the most successful yet held in the popular Taita Hall
