BOY SCOUTS' SOCIAL.

The usual "500" and Old Time Dance evening in aid of the Scout Building Fund was held last Saturday night at the Scout Hall, and was well patronised. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the prizes were very much admired, the winners being Mrs Pyne and Mr. Manion for cards, and the Monte Carlos by Mrs Fisher and Mr. Mair and Frank Kershaw and partner.

Attention is drawn to an advertisement on another page of this issue for a Children's Fancy Dress Dance on October 25th in aid of the No 1. Troop. It is hoped to make this a gTeat success and Mrs Westbury. has kindly consented to be at the Scout Hall on Friday, October 12th at 3.30 p.m., to teach the children (who intend coming in fancy costumes) free of charge. This is a great opportunity for the children to help the success of the evening and it is hoped they will roll up and take advantage of this kind offer.
