MOERA KINDERGARTEN.
On Monday last there were signs of great activity at the Moera Hall when the Lower Hutt Free Kindergarten Association opened a branch in the ris-' trict. The Association has been for: tunate in securing the services os principal of Miss Riley, who was connected with* kindergarten work in Wellington and, as her assistant, Miss H. Dawson. The Government -has granted capitation on average attendance and. the kindergarten is comfortably housed in the new hall. The hall committee have met the requirements of the Association in every possible way and thanks are due to them. There are approximately 300 children in the district of kindergarten age, but up to the present it is possible to enrol only •60 "children. The work is in ur-. gent need of funds and it is.^hoped the residents of Lower Hutt will eo7Operate with the Association in this respect. " After the term holidays, when the kindergarten has been, in operation for a short time, visitors will b§ welcomed any morning at the Kindergarten.
